Terms of service

You need to be at least 13 to create an account, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live to buy a paid plan or sell on the marketplace. If you use the Services for a business, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it.

Many tools work without an account. If you create one, give accurate information, keep your login secure, and tell us if you think someone else has accessed it. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

We work hard to keep Hijri (Misri) dates, Miqaats, Namaz times, the Qibla direction and library content accurate. They are provided as a convenience and may differ from announcements by your local Jamaat or Mauze. Where they differ, follow your Jamaat. Namaz times and Qibla depend on your device’s location and sensors, which can be imprecise.

You keep ownership of what you post, such as business listings, photos, reviews, posts and RSVP invitations. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and share it to run and promote the Services. This licence ends when you delete the content, except where it has been shared with others or we must keep it for legal reasons.

You are responsible for your content and confirm that you have the right to post it.

When using the Services, don’t:

• Post anything unlawful, misleading, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit.
• Disrespect religious content or misrepresent its source.
• Impersonate anyone, or post fake reviews or listings.
• Sell items or services that are illegal, unsafe or not halal where halal is claimed.
• Send spam or collect other users’ information without permission.
• Interfere with the Services, try to get around security, or scrape them with automated tools.
• Copy, resell or redistribute the Services or their content without our permission.

We may review, remove or refuse content, and suspend or close accounts, that break these rules or put users at risk.

Businesses are responsible for their listings, prices, products, services and dealings with customers. We may verify, decline or remove listings at our discretion. Unless we say otherwise, My Bohra is not a party to transactions between users and businesses, and we don’t guarantee the quality, safety or legality of what is offered. Use your own judgement, and report anything that looks wrong.

Core religious and community tools are free. Some business features need a paid plan. Prices are shown before you buy. Plans renew automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time to stop future charges. Payments are processed by Stripe, or by Apple or Google for in-app purchases, under their terms. Except where the law requires or we say otherwise, payments are non-refundable.

The Services, including their design, software, text and the My Bohra name and logo, belong to us or our licensors. Library content belongs to its respective owners and is shown with its source. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Services as these terms allow.

The Services may link to or embed third-party websites and services, such as YouTube videos or maps. We aren’t responsible for them, and their own terms apply.

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.

To the extent the law allows, MyBohra Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and USD 100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

If you break these terms or the law, or your content infringes someone’s rights, you agree to cover reasonable losses and costs we incur as a result.

You can stop using the Services and delete your account at any time (see deleting your account). We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we stop offering the Services, and will give notice where reasonable.

We may change the Services and these terms. We’ll update the date at the top, and tell you about significant changes in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Services after that means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the place where MyBohra Labs is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep any protections the law of your country gives you. We’d always rather resolve a problem informally first, so please contact us.
